Federal Signal's Model 300MCDK Field Recorder is designed to record unique messages on blank
CommCenter® chips. The message plays back for review before installation of the chip into one
of the Federal Signal CommCenter Message Centers or Custom Tone Modules (Models 300MB, 300MC,
300SMB, 300SMD, 300SMX, and TM33).
The Model 300MCDK inexpensively creates a custom message on location when a professional studio recording is not required.
Messages can be changed without down time or additional costs.
Recording a message with the 300MCDK is simple following these three steps:
1. Install a CommCenter chip into the zero-insertion socket.
2. Press the Record button and speak into the microphone.
3. Press the Play button and review the message.
Federal Signal's 300MCDK is supplied with one blank chip. Additional chips (Model RMB9999) are sold separately.
The device is powered by a 9-volt alkaline battery (included) and features a board-mounted condenser microphone
for recording and a speaker for playback.
