POSITION: Sales Manager - Calgary
Position Summary:
Plans and directs the sales of the company's products including sales, marketing, market research,
forecasting, budgeting, pricing and contract reviews.
Responsibilities:
- Develop sales objectives, programs, and plans that are consistent with the goals of the company
including:
- Market research regarding customer and competitor activity, pricing, distribution network,
- and new product/market development
- Sales forecasts
- Product pricing and discounts
- Contract review of major proposals
- Advertising performance
- Sales literature and tradeshow activities
- Sales reporting
- Establish the overall sales budget including all expenses related to the sales department,
commissions, advertising, research, and marketing; evaluate actual performance vs. budget.
- Responsible for coaching, motivating, measuring, and ensuring proper development of the sales
team.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers.
- Evaluate and manage existing sales processes and activities and identify opportunities for
process improvement.
- Any other related responsibilities not detailed here but that could be reasonably expected.
Experience:
- Technical training/experience in instrumentations and controls
- Minimum of 10 years experience in sales and marketing
- Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience
- Excellent PC skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Basic ERP/MRP knowledge (preferably Navision)
Education:
- Undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience

POSITION: Field Sales Representative - Calgary
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for growing Micro-Watt's sales, including the development of effective strategies to
foster our relationships with major customers. You have 3 years of instrumentation sales experience specifically in the Oil and Gas sector, and
a successful track record of account management with Canada's major Oil and Gas companies.
Micro-Watt's product focus consists of fire and gas detection, flow measurement and level transmission, experience with these or similar types of products would be considered an asset.
Travel is required for this position as the territory responsibilities are south eastern Alberta. Day trips and overnight trips are required to
the Lethbridge, Medicine Hat and Drumheller areas. 90% of this position's client base is located in the field. A company truck is provided with this position.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively pursue business opportunities, primarily with our large Oil and Gas Customers
- Establish MicroWatt as a preferred vendor
- Foster relationships with our customers
- Drive growth and deliver booking goals
- Work closely with the Sales Manager and other sales team members to ensure sales success
- Engage all aspects of Micro-Watt's principals to ensure customer satisfaction and preference
- Report on a timely basis, and within the parameters of our CRM package, the continued progress in developing our accounts
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of instrumentation sales experience, specifically in the Oil and Gas sector
- Successful track record of account management with Canada's major Oil and Gas companies
- Experience with sales directly to field personnel is preferred
- Micro-Watt's product focus consists of fire and gas detection, flow measurement and level transmission, experience with
these or similar types of products would be considered an asset.

- Valid Class 5 driver's license.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent technological certification is preferred
