POSITION: Financial Accountant (Calgary)
Position Summary:
The Financial Accountant is responsible for the daily and monthly finance functions for Micro-Watt Control Devices Ltd. and Net Safety Monitoring Inc. including
financial statement preparation, treasury management, inventory sub-ledger maintenance and general journal entries. This position is also responsible for
establishing and implementing continuous improvement processes within the finance department.
Responsibilities will include:
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements on a timely basis with variance analysis
- Prepare monthly and annual reconciliation schedules for audit and income tax purposes
- Prepare and file monthly GST/PST/QST returns
- Treasury:
- Monitor daily cash flows and bank balances, facilitating bank and wire transfers as necessary
- Reconcile Canadian, US, Treasury, and Line of Credit accounts monthly
- Inventory:
- Prepare monthly costing entries to adjust for variances to standard costing
- Reconcile inventory to general ledger and explain inventory adjustments/variances
- Assist with administration of physical inventory counts
- Accounts Payable:
- Administer Commercial Visa card program and record and analyze staff expense reports
- Reconcile intercompany accounts
- Manage on-line payments and wires to vendors
- Support Accounts Payable Clerk as necessary (month end, vacation)
- Accounts Receivable:
- Support Accounts Receivable Clerk as necessary (month end, vacation)
- Fixed Assets:
- Maintain fixed asset schedules including asset classification and amortization calculations
- General:
- Maintain all general ledger accounts, including monthly reconciliations and general ledger entries
- Establish, document and maintain policies and procedures relating to the Financial Accountant position.
- Accommodate reporting requirements and requests of other departments
- Track and maintain records for research and development (SR&ED) costs
- Actively participate in the company's Lean Enterprise and Quality (ISO) programs
- Comply with and participate in the continuous improvement of the Company's Quality Systems
- Comply with and participate in the continuous improvement of the Company's Health and Safety programs

Experience/Qualifications:
- 3+ years accounting experience
- Strong financial accounting skills
- High competency with Excel; Navision (ERP) experience is an asset
Education:
- Accounting Diploma or equivalent experience

POSITION: Supply Chain Team Lead/Supervisor (Calgary)
Position Summary:
This position, located in Calgary, Alberta, responsibilities are to perform all daily activities required to operate
and maintain the supply chain. Focus on process development and independent management of all daily duties and
administrative challenges. This position reports to the Materials Manager or designate as assigned.
Responsibilities will include:
- Gather and package materials for sales orders and outside process shipments.
- Generate shipping documents.
- Inspect incoming shipments to ensure accuracy.
- Post receipts into the ERP system.
- Receive deliveries into the computerized ERP system (Navision).
- Investigate negative inventories; perform inventory adjustments as required within computerized ERP system (Navision), and cycle counts as required.
- Analyze operations and implement procedures, processes and improvements.
- Responsible for performance records and reports related to inventory accuracy, service level, KPI's
- Manage safety, housekeeping, and maintain standards.

POSITION: Technical Sales Representative (Vancouver)
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for growing Micro-Watt's sales in all of British Columbia, including the development of
effective strategies to foster our relationships with major customers. You have previous sales experience, preferably
in the Oil and Gas sector, Mining, Water/Wastewater and Pulp and Paper. You also have training in instrumentation or
a comparably technical field.
Responsibilities will include:
- Proactively pursue business opportunities.
- Establishing Micro-Watt as a preferred vendor
- Fostering relationships with our customers
- Driving growth and deliver booking goals
- Working closely with the Sales Manager and other sales team members to ensure sales success
- Engaging all aspects of Micro-Watt's principals to ensure customer satisfaction and preference
- Reporting on a timely basis, and within the parameters of our CRM package, the continued progress in developing our accounts
- Complying with and participate in the continuous improvement of the Company's Health and Safety programs

Experience/Qualifications:
- Relevant post-secondary technical education

- Successful track record of Large Account Management with BC's major industrial companies
